New - Covid 19 Policy


During the Covid 19 Pandemic, we must add the following measures to the usual T&Cs supplied with your booking confirmation. These additional items will be in place for the duration of the pandemic for the health and safety of all parties within our service:

We must be notified immediately, and service cancelled if you or anyone within your household has symptoms of the virus.

We will waiver the usual non-refundable deposit for cancellations, as long as the sudden cancellation relates to symptoms of the virus appearing within your household.

At the same time, we must also cancel booked service immediately and without notice if myself must Self-Isolate due to symptoms of the virus.

CURRENT GUIDELINES: a maximum of six people can be in the household at one time, this is currently allowed for a mixture of households. Children under 12 do not have to social distance with the 1m rule.

You must either try to vacate the home whilst the service takes place or stay in a room in which I do not need to enter. If I do need to enter certain rooms which have members of the household in, I will knock and then move away while you pass by at a 2 metre distance, these procedures are to remain in place until is no longer necessary to socially distance.

Where you are at home during service (as long as the social distancing set out above is possible), I will be wearing the appropriate PPE, such as a facemask. I would ask could you open windows of the home before I am due, as the Government tells us that ventilation in the workplace when working in other people's homes is important regarding managing the spread of the virus. A maximum of 5 People can be in the home when am there to set up as I become number ‘6’ in the household and we must stay in line with the current government guidelines.

I have recently taken part and passed the ‘Prevent Covid 19’ and ‘Introduction to Infection Prevention and Control’ courses online to take the necessary measures to keep in-line with the safety precautions surrounding Covid 19. All items are on a hire basis only, therefore, all items are disinfected and sanitised thoroughly. Bedding is laundered on a higher temperature with Dettol laundry cleanser, hard objects are cleaned with antibacterial cleaning products and other soft furnishings are cleaned using a good quality disinfectant Dettol spray.

Our public liability insurance will understandably not cover for incidences of infection of Covid 19 or any other illness; we will provide service only on the understanding that, we cannot take any responsibility for any incidence of Covid 19. We will all act with responsibility in the current circumstances of pandemic, and ensure that everyone within the service must take all the measures as set out by the government, plus the additional ones set out by our Company, to keep one another as safe from infection as is possible to do within the provision of service. We cannot make blanket promises or accept liability for any case of infection that is a joint responsibility we will all share to avoid, but we can promise that stringent measures will be taken to make service as safe as it can possibly be. Also we must all understand that Covid 19 is an illness and is classed as force majeure, so all we can realistically do to protect one another during the pandemic is to follow these measures to the highest standards to reduce the possibility of contamination to the lowest.

Please confirm via email or message that you accept and will adhere do this policy. Thank you for your agreement to the above. We think it is quite wonderful the way in which we are all pulling together and taking the most responsible actions within the world in which we find ourselves to be living at the moment. We must always continue to take care of one another and try to keep one another safe throughout this unfortunate period of time.

Terms and Conditions:

A £30 non-refundable booking fee is requested to hold the date of your party.

• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the date of the party.

• An additional security deposit will be added to the invoice. This is to cover breakages fees. The amount will be dependent on the items hired and the type of event. It will be returned to you no later than 2 days after the collection of equipment, following inspection of all items.

• Set up of parties will be at 4pm and collection the next day will be 11am (unless stated otherwise). 

• Please ensure there is clear access to the place of installation and set up. Please advise me if there is not adequate parking outside of the delivery area and if access is shared please ensure relevant neighbors are aware.

• Please ensure you have the correct spacing for the tipis you have hired and the area is clear of debris and furniture, I am unable to help with furniture being moved on the day of set up. Tipis are 100x100cm and 80cm high and mattresses are 185cm long.

• Do not jump or lean on the tents as they may break. Do not attempt to take apart or move the dens at all during the hire.

• Please do not jump on the airbeds.

• Please do not use make-up or slime products in the tents as it can be very hard to get out.

• If any problems do occur, please contact me using the details below as soon as possible and I will try my best to resolve any issues.

      Please note, any damages will be taken from the breakages fee.

• We advise turning off the fairy lights before sleeping for safety reasons.

• It is recommended that eye masks are not worn while sleeping.

• Please keep all tipis away from fire.

• All of the equipment is on a hire basis only and are not to keep permanently (this includes, soft toys, drinks bottles etc.) unless stated otherwise. Please note, due to Covid 19, only bed throws will be provided due to sanitation purposes.

• I have Public Liability insurance and all Tipis are CE Registered and tested but I am not responsible for any injury caused by our equipment and strongly advise adult supervision for the duration of the party.

• Cleaning of equipment between hires is done to a high standard. I have recently taken part and passed the ‘Prevent Covid 19’ and ‘Introduction to Infection Prevention and Control’ courses online to take the necessary measures to keep in-line with the safety precautions surrounding Covid 19. All items are on a hire basis only, therefore, all items are disinfected and sanitised thoroughly. • An additional £50 will be added to the invoice. This is to cover breakages and hire fees. The £50 will be returned to you no later than 1 day after the collection of equipment, following inspection of all items.

• Please ensure there is parking near your chosen location.

• Please do not use heat products anywhere near the hired items – this includes, candles, BBQs and fires.

• Please do not leave items unattended in local public areas at any time – set up and collection times will be confirmed on the day before the party. Please wait until I have arrived to collect before leaving.

• If it decides to rain during your hire, please put items in the box provided and contact me as soon as possible – refunds or rescheduling will take place should this happen.

• If a Tipi is hired with the party, please do not move or disassemble the tipi at any time.

• If any problems do occur, please contact me using the details below as soon as possible and I will try my best to resolve any issues.

An additional security deposit will be added to the invoice. This is to cover breakages fees. The amount will be dependent on the items hired and the type of event. It will be returned to you no later than 2 days after the collection of equipment, following inspection of all items.

GDPR Policy

Contact details are for me (Kelli) to access only. I will not supply these details to anyone else. Likewise, personal contact details for me are not handed out to clients. The number I use for my business is also my personal phone, however all emails and contact details are made via my business email address and is password protected.

When services are cancelled by either party or completed, your details will be deleted off my databases with immediate effect of notification, unless you instruct us otherwise.

Dusk Dreams Tipi Cornwall do not use your data for any marketing purposes and will never sell your data to third parties. Only the members of DDTC will be supplied with the required data needed at any time to perform the work in hand correctly.
